All aquariums require some level of maintenance. The degree to which your aquarium is maintained has a direct effect upon the health of its inhabitants as well as the beauty of the display.

Premier Aquaria has designed a routine maintenance program to assure the aesthetic beauty of your aquarium and to provide a healthy environment for its inhabitants. We tailor our maintenance program to each of our clients.

Premier Aquaria can hand select marine and reef specimens for your aquarium. We carefully inspect them to assure that everything placed in your aquarium is healthy and the best of quality. We properly acclimate each specimen to help reduce stress caused by shipping. To avoid problems we assess the compatibility of the specimen with your aquarium's current inhabitants

What does our service entail?

Every Visit

Visual check of fish for head-count, disease, swimming and breathing rates.
Visual check of equipment, air and water flow.
Remove algae growth from interior surfaces.
Test water chemistry.
Check color, smell and temperature of water.
Clean covers and light fixtures of algae and salt deposits.
Empty Protein Skimmer collection cup.
Add trace elements (reef systems).
Clean overflow filtration pads.
Top off water.
Clean exterior surfaces.
Clean mechanical filter.

As Needed

Change water (more often if needed)
Rake and siphon debris from gravel bottom.
Remove debris from mechanical filter.
Remove debris from wet-dry filtration bed.
Remove and clean decorative corals, rocks, plastic plants and ornaments.

Semi-Annually

Obtain water analysis of tap water.
Change chemical filtration media.

Our full service maintenance program is designed with the client in mind. We can supplement what you are already doing or we can take over the full time maintenance of your aquarium. Service is scheduled to accommodate your tank and schedule. We can design a service program to fit your budget.
